(Bandung, June 8, 2024) – Telkom University (Tel-U) Faculty of Communication and Social Sciences (FKS) held a collaboration by organizing a joint event with PT Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE Express) with a friend “Communication Challenges in the Business World” held in the Multimedia Room, Bangkit Building. This event brought one of the speakers, Eri Palgunadi as Senior Vice President of JNE Express.
Dr. Catur Nugroho as a lecturer of Master of Communication Studies Program Telkom University (Tel-U), enthusiastically welcomed the public lecture held. This event not only presented Eri Palgunadi, SVP Marketing JNE Express, as a resource person who is an expert in his field, but also marked the first public lecture after the name change of the Faculty of Communication and Business to the Faculty of Communication and Social Sciences. Dr. Catur Nugroho hopes that this event will be an important momentum for students to better understand the challenges faced in the business world, especially in the context of communication.
In this public lecture, Eri Palgunadi delivered important insights about the changing times that drive the communication process. According to him, traditional corporate communication can no longer be fully relied upon in the face of evolving dynamics. Therefore, Eri explained three main pillars that can be implemented simply in framing communication between brands and customers: content, structuring, and monitoring.
Eri Palgunadi emphasized the importance of content as a medium to convey messages that must be relevant to the target public. This relevance can be through structuring which is the best way to communicate because it is cultural and decentralized. With this approach, the message is not only delivered, but also has great potential to influence the audience. The third pillar discussed by Eri Palgunadi is monitoring or also known as social media listening. Eri Palgunadi emphasized the importance of conducting regular monitoring as a form of case handling through data-based communication.
